The Diary of an Evolving Feminist

Success and happiness are by far two of the most contentious terms of all time. Is success happiness? Is a successful woman truly a happy woman?

The reality is that the measure of a woman’s success is constantly on the run. Once defined by traditional gender roles, that goalpost had long moved. To be a successful woman, the new set of rules demands that you must have a thriving career. Oh, that goalpost moved too. For my generation, you need to have it all, and indeed many of us have been trapped in a pursuit of success which is more conformist than fulfilling.

I invite you to join me as I navigate life’s journeys, one story at a time.

An Evolved Feminist

The Evolved Feminists

These are the stories of women who go over and beyond to sow love and respect, to protect happiness and togetherness and who are committed to building a happy and harmonious society.

These are the stories of women making informed choices to build happiness for themselves and harmony in their families, communities and society. It is the story of an architect, a doctor who has placed her career on hold to raise her children. It is the story of a single mom who juggles two jobs to provide for her children.

Je M’appelle Amazing Africa

Je m’appelle Amazing Africa

I am not perfect but am still awesome – Je m’appelle Amazing Africa.

Have you ever attended a village meeting on a Sunday, where tempers run high, finances do not add up and your name features in the headlines of last week’s gossip, but you look forward to next Sunday’s meeting with every breath of anticipation? Have you ever woken up to the sound of a cock crow in a remote village with no Google coordinates – you call it home – and the freshness of the air, the love next door caressing both your heart and spirit?
