Mbong is a recognised chartered public relations practitioner with the Public Relations Institute of South Africa (PRISA) and Head of Communication with Greenpeace Africa.
She holds a Masters Degree in Corporate Communication, and a Post – Graduate Honours in the same field. She has a Double Bachelors Degree in Journalism and Mass Communication and Women & Gender Studies.
Mbong started her career in Communications in 2004 as a TV news anchor at Spectrum Television. With more than fifteen years in the industry, Mbong is a media expert, a communication strategists and a passion writer, with an obsession for narratives and story.
Personal
Mbong is married with three kids and juggles work, children, a tall dark hunk of a husband when she is not traveling.
Mbong is a lover of news and views, an environmentalist at heart, a football fanatic and a wannabe scuba diver.
She writes to challenge dominant narratives about Africa and to provoke an alternative theory for women, a theory based on women and happiness.
